1. Who we are
Apprenticeship 2 Entrepreneurship LLC ("A2E," "we," "us," "our") is a Texas limited liability company based in Houston, Texas. A2E is the controller of the personal data described in this notice and is the entity legally responsible for it.

Write "Privacy Request" in the subject line so your message reaches the right person.
2. What this notice covers
This notice applies to apprenticeship2entrepreneurship.com, its subdomains (including the Capital Readiness Coach at coach.apprenticeship2entrepreneurship.com), and any A2E form, tool, or intake process that links to this notice.
It does not cover:
- Partner organizations. When a school district, workforce board, nonprofit, or employer delivers A2E programming, that organization handles its own participant records under its own policies. Ask them for their notice.
- Student education records held under a school agreement. Those are governed by Section 11 below, not by the consumer-rights process in Section 9.
- Third-party sites we link to. We do not control them.
3. Personal data we collect
| Category | What it includes | Where it comes from |
|---|---|---|
| Partner and organizational contact data | Organization name, contact name, phone number, email address, preferred contact method, number of people served, timeline, funding stream, district or board | You, through the Become a Partner form |
| Participant interest data | The need category you select on Day One (for example: food, housing, identification, phone, work, health support), ZIP code or general area | You, through participant-facing pages |
| Capital readiness inputs | Business or organizational readiness answers, self-reported preparation status, session progress | You, through the Capital Readiness Coach |
| Program records | Enrollment, attendance, time on task, assessment results, credential issuance, and completion status | Generated during program delivery, and from your partner organization |
| Communications | Emails, text messages, call notes, and support requests | You, and our team |
| Consent records | The exact consent text you agreed to, its version, the date and time, the method you selected, and the IP address recorded at submission | Automatically, at the moment you consent |
| Technical and log data | IP address, browser and device type, referring page, pages viewed, timestamps, and error logs | Automatically, when you use the site |
We do not ask for and do not want Social Security numbers, driver's license numbers, financial account numbers, payment card numbers, or biometric identifiers through this website. Do not send them to us by email or through any form on this site.
4. Sensitive data
Texas law (the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act, Tex. Bus. & Com. Code Ch. 541) treats certain categories as sensitive personal data, including precise geolocation, data revealing a mental or physical health diagnosis, and personal data collected from a known child.
Our approach:
- We ask for your consent before we process sensitive personal data. Where a page or tool would collect it, you will see a plain-language request first, and you can decline and still use the rest of the service.
- We do not collect precise geolocation. When we help you find resources near you, we use the general area or ZIP code you tell us. We do not track your device's location.
- Health-related selections are treated as sensitive. If you tell us you need a doctor or someone to talk to, we use that only to connect you with help. We do not use it for marketing, we do not profile you with it, and we do not share it with employers, landlords, or lenders.
- We do not sell sensitive personal data. Ever. There is no version of our business that involves selling it.
Court, probation, and parole paperwork
If — and only if — you choose to share court, probation, or parole paperwork with A2E as part of enrolled program support, the following applies:
- You choose to share it. We never require it, and declining does not affect your participation in any A2E program.
- We collect it only with your signed consent, given separately from this notice, describing exactly what you are sharing and why.
- We use it for one purpose: building the reminders and the support plan you asked for. Nothing else.
- We do not share it with employers, landlords, lenders, or insurers. Not with your consent bundled into something else — only if you separately and specifically ask us to, in writing, for a named recipient.
- We keep it only as long as we need it to provide the support you asked for and to meet the record-retention requirements described in Section 8.
- You can have it deleted at any time, for any reason, without explanation, by emailing info@a2e.llc. We complete deletion within 10 business days and confirm it in writing, except where a funder or law requires us to retain a specific record.
- We do not report your paperwork or your participation to any supervising agency, court, or law enforcement body unless we are legally compelled by a valid subpoena, warrant, or court order — and where the law allows us to tell you, we will.
5. Why we process personal data
- To answer your inquiry and follow up about partnership
- To connect you or your participants with programs, resources, and referrals
- To deliver, track, and document training, attendance, assessments, and credentials
- To produce outcome reports for the partner organizations and funders that pay for programming — reported as aggregate and program-level data, and as individual records only where the funding agreement and applicable law require it
- To send you the communications you asked for, by the method you selected
- To keep the site working, secure, and free of abuse
- To meet our legal, audit, and grant-reporting obligations
We do not use automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects about you.
Research and program evaluation. We use program data to evaluate whether our programming works and to improve it. Where we conduct or participate in formal research — including evaluation with a university partner or under a federal research program — we use de-identified or aggregate data. We do not include information that identifies you in any research dataset, publication, or presentation unless you have given separate written consent for that specific study, and the study has been approved by an Institutional Review Board. Participation in research is always optional and never a condition of receiving services.
6. What we do not do
These are commitments, not aspirations:
- We do not sell personal data. Not to data brokers, not to advertisers, not to anyone, for money or for anything else of value. Being paid by an organization to deliver programming and produce the outcome reports it owes its funders is payment for a service — it is not a sale of your data, and we do not treat it as one.
- We do not share participant records with employers or lenders without your separate, specific, written consent naming the recipient. We do not accept payment, referral fees, or other compensation from any employer, lender, or funding source in exchange for participant information.
- We do not use participant data to profile you for decisions about credit, housing, insurance, or employment.
- We do not sell or share student data, and we do not direct advertising at students. See Section 11.
- We do not run advertising or analytics technologies on participant-facing pages — including Day One, the Compliance Companion, and the Capital Readiness Coach — beyond what is strictly necessary to make them work.
- We never use the data of anyone under 18 for advertising or marketing.
7. Service providers who process data for us
We use a small number of service providers. Each processes personal data only on our written instructions, is prohibited from using it for its own purposes, and is bound by confidentiality and security obligations.
| Category of provider | What it does for us | Data involved |
|---|---|---|
| Hosting and infrastructure | Runs the website and applications | Technical and log data; anything submitted through the site in transit |
| Database and secure storage | Stores records | Form submissions, program records, consent records |
| Customer relationship management and messaging | Manages contacts and sends email and SMS | Contact data, communications, consent records |
| Learning management and assessment | Delivers courses and records completion | Enrollment, attendance, assessment results, credentials |
| Mapping and location lookup | Finds resources near the area you tell us | The general area or ZIP code you provide, and technical request data |
| Analytics and site measurement | Tells us which pages are used and where people get stuck | Technical and usage data |
Some mapping features are provided by Google Maps Platform; your use of those features is also subject to Google's Privacy Policy and the Google Maps/Google Earth Additional Terms of Service.
Named provider list on request. We do not publish the names of our individual service providers on this page. If you are a school district, workforce board, bank, funder, or participant and you want the specific list, email info@a2e.llc and we will provide it, along with our data processing agreements, within 5 business days.
We may also disclose personal data:
- To your partner organization, where that organization enrolled you and is entitled to your program records under its agreement with us
- To funders and auditors, in the form required by the applicable grant or funding agreement
- To professional advisors bound by confidentiality
- Where required by law, valid legal process, or to protect someone's safety
- To a successor entity in connection with a merger or transfer of the business, with notice to you
8. How long we keep data
| Data | Retention |
|---|---|
| Partner and organizational contact data | 3 years after last contact, then deleted |
| Participant interest data (Day One selections, ZIP) | 12 months, then deleted or de-identified |
| Capital Readiness Coach session data | 12 months after last activity, then deleted |
| Program records (attendance, assessments, credentials) | Retained for the period required by the applicable funding source, and no less than 5 years, to meet WIOA, Perkins V, and grant audit requirements |
| Consent records | Life of the relationship plus 5 years, to evidence consent |
| Technical and server logs | 90 days |
| Court, probation, and parole paperwork | See Module C in Section 4 |
Where a funding agreement or law requires a longer period, that period governs and we will tell you if you ask.
9. Your rights
If you are a Texas resident, you have the right to:
- Confirm whether we process your personal data, and access it
- Correct inaccuracies, taking into account the nature of the data and the purpose
- Delete personal data you provided or that we obtained about you
- Obtain a portable copy in a readily usable format, where processing is automated
- Opt out of the sale of personal data, targeted advertising, and profiling in furtherance of decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects
We do not sell personal data and we do not profile in that way, so those opt-outs have nothing to act on — but you may exercise them and we will confirm that in writing. For targeted advertising, see Section 13 for how to opt out.
Residents of other states with comparable privacy laws may exercise equivalent rights; we apply this process to everyone who asks.
How to make a request. Email info@a2e.llc with "Privacy Request" in the subject line, or call (832) 333-8488. Tell us what you want and how to reach you. We will verify your identity using information we already hold; we will not ask you to create an account to make a request.
Our timeline. We respond within 45 days. If we need more time, we may extend once by another 45 days and will tell you why before the first period ends. There is no charge for your first two requests in a 12-month period.
If we say no — your right to appeal. If we decline your request, we will tell you why in writing. You may appeal within 30 days by replying to that decision or emailing info@a2e.llc with "Privacy Appeal" in the subject line. We will decide the appeal within 60 days and explain our reasoning in writing. If we deny the appeal, we will give you a method to contact the Texas Attorney General to submit a complaint. You may also contact the Texas Attorney General's Consumer Protection Division directly at any time.
Authorized agents. You may use an authorized agent to submit a request. We will ask for proof of authorization.
No retaliation. We will never deny you service, charge you a different price, or provide a lesser level of service because you exercised a privacy right.
10. Minors and participants under 18
Parts of A2E programming serve high school students. Where we work with participants under 18:
- We collect their data through the school, district, or program partner that enrolled them — not through open sign-up on this website.
- We require verifiable parent or guardian consent, obtained and recorded before the participant begins.
- We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13 through this website. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us data, email info@a2e.llc and we will delete it.
- We never use a minor's data for advertising, marketing, or profiling.
11. Students, schools, and district agreements
When A2E provides services to a school, district, or educational agency, additional rules apply and they take precedence over this notice for the data covered by them.
- FERPA. Where a district designates A2E as a school official with a legitimate educational interest under 34 C.F.R. § 99.31(a)(1)(i)(B), A2E acts under the district's direct control with respect to education records, uses those records only for the purpose for which the disclosure was made, and does not redisclose them without the district's authorization.
- Texas student data protections. Where A2E operates as an "operator" of an online service used for school purposes under Texas Education Code Chapter 32, Subchapter D, A2E does not engage in targeted advertising to students, does not sell covered student information, and does not build a student profile except for the school purpose the district authorized. A2E deletes covered student information at the district's request.
- Ownership. Student education records belong to the district. A2E does not use them for its own commercial purposes and does not use them in marketing or sales materials without the district's written permission.
- Parent and student requests. Parents and eligible students should direct access, correction, and deletion requests to their school or district, which will direct us. We will support the district's response.
12. Security
We use encryption in transit, access controls limiting personal data to staff who need it, credential management, and logging. Our vendors are contractually required to maintain appropriate safeguards.
No system is perfectly secure, and we do not promise that ours is. We promise to work at it, and to tell you promptly if something goes wrong that affects your data, as required by law.
Please do not email us sensitive documents or identification numbers. Email is not a secure channel. If you need to share something sensitive, call us and we will arrange a secure method.
13. Cookies, analytics, and advertising technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies that are strictly necessary for the site to function, and analytics to understand which pages are used and where people get stuck.
On our general marketing pages, we may also use advertising and measurement technologies that help us reach organizations and individuals who could benefit from our programming. Where we do, some jurisdictions treat this as targeted advertising, and you have the right to opt out.
Where we never do this:
- On participant-facing pages — Day One, the Compliance Companion, and the Capital Readiness Coach
- On any page or tool used by participants under 18, or in connection with student data under a school agreement
- In connection with any health-related or sensitive information you share with us
How to opt out of targeted advertising:
- Global Privacy Control. We honor GPC signals sent by your browser as a valid opt-out request. This is the fastest method and it applies automatically.
- Email us. Send a request to info@a2e.llc with "Opt Out" in the subject line.
- Browser controls. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may break parts of the site.
Opting out will not reduce the service you receive from us in any way.
14. Where data is processed
We process and store personal data in the United States. If you access the site from outside the United States, understand that your data will be transferred to and processed in the United States.
15. Changes to this notice
If we make a material change, we will update the "Last updated" date, post the change on this page, and — where the change affects how we handle data you already gave us — tell you directly using the contact method you provided. We will not apply a materially different use to data we already hold without giving you notice and, where required, obtaining your consent.
